What does a Tam Farms certified location require?
The Tam Farms location standard (TAMFARMS_LOCATION_STANDARD) clearly defines the conditions a location must meet to join the network.
A location that wants to be called Tam Farms certified needs more than a beautiful space. It must meet a comprehensive set of standards — from land usage rights to emergency response procedures. This article summarizes the core requirements under TAMFARMS_LOCATION_STANDARD.
1. Usage rights
The location owner must prove legal usage rights: ownership, long-term lease, or a usage contract with legal validity. Tam Farms does not accept locations with disputed usage rights.
2. Legal compliance
The location must have a valid business registration, a lodging license (if providing lodging services), and comply with tax obligations. All documents must have physical evidence or verifiable scans.
3. Capacity
The location must clearly define its maximum capacity at one time, based on actual area and safety conditions. Capacity is published transparently and must not be exceeded during intake.
4. Safety
Must have a fire safety (PCCC) inspection certificate, fire alarm system, fire extinguishers, escape routes, and a written emergency response procedure. The on-site manager must know how to use safety equipment.
5. Internet
The location must have a stable internet connection sufficient for remote workers. Minimum speed and signal coverage are tested on-site before certification.
6. Workspace
Must have a dedicated workspace with desks, chairs, and adequate lighting. The workspace is separated from common living areas to ensure focus.
7. On-site manager
Each location must have at least one resident on-site manager, capable of handling situations that arise, emergency contact, and program coordination. The manager must be trained in Tam Farms procedures.
8. Emergency response procedures
Must have written procedures for situations: medical emergency, fire, natural disaster, conflict. Procedures include contact numbers, the nearest hospital, and the person responsible for coordination.
9. Price transparency
The price list must be clearly published: location fee, program fee, expert fee (if any), travel costs, insurance. No hidden surcharges. Any price changes must be announced in advance.
10. Consent and evidence
All participants must sign a consent form before entering a program. All activities must have recorded evidence: journals, photos, reports. Evidence is stored according to the privacy policy.
11. Periodic audits
Locations are audited again on a periodic cycle. If a location no longer meets the standards, it may be suspended or removed from the network. Audits are recorded in the audit trail.
Location standards are not meant to create barriers — but to ensure participants receive a consistent experience at every location bearing the Tam Farms name.
