Tam Farm House Rules
The following rules apply to all participants at Tam Farm locations. The purpose is to maintain a quiet, safe, and respectful space for everyone — including the local community.
By participating, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these rules. If anything is unclear, please discuss before confirming your participation.
1. Respect shared spaces
Areas such as the kitchen, living room, workspace, and garden are shared. Please maintain them, use them for their intended purpose, and yield when others need them. Everyone has different work and rest rhythms — mutual respect is the foundation of coexistence.
2. Quiet hours
Quiet hours are generally from 22:00 to 06:00. During this time, please keep volume low, avoid loud phone calls, and limit noisy activities. If you work late, use headphones and keep lighting at an appropriate level.
3. No drugs
The use, possession, or distribution of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited. Any drug-related violation will result in immediate termination of participation without refund, and may be reported to authorities in accordance with the law.
4. No smoking indoors
Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is not permitted in enclosed areas, including bedrooms, kitchen, and shared living spaces. If you need to smoke, please use the designated outdoor area and clean up after yourself.
5. Clean up after use
After using the kitchen, bathroom, or shared spaces, please return them to their original state. Wash dishes, wipe tables, dispose of trash properly, and put away tools. This is a shared responsibility — there is no dedicated cleaning staff for each participant.
6. Respect the local community
Tam Farm locations are situated within real residential communities. Please be polite to neighbors, respect local customs, avoid excessive noise, and do not trespass on others' property or private spaces. Our reputation depends on how each participant behaves.
7. Follow safety guidelines
Please follow the safety guidelines provided upon check-in, including: proper use of kitchen equipment, locking doors when leaving, turning off electrical devices when not in use, and not entering unauthorized areas. See the Safety page for details.
8. Participate in garden activities when possible
You are not required to join every garden activity, but participation is encouraged when it fits your schedule and health. Planting, tending, harvesting, or simply watering and weeding — these small tasks help you connect with the space and better understand the lifestyle you are trying.
9. No commercial photography without permission
Taking personal photos to document your experience is encouraged. However, photography or filming for commercial, advertising, product sales, or monetized content purposes requires prior discussion and permission. Posting images that clearly show other people also requires their consent.
10. Visitors
Inviting outside visitors requires advance notice and should only occur during reasonable hours. Overnight guests are not permitted without prior approval. This is to maintain safety and quiet space for current participants.
11. Rule violations
Rule violations are assessed by severity. Minor violations will result in a reminder. Serious violations — especially those involving drugs, safety, harm to others, or property damage — may result in immediate termination of participation without refund.
House rules may be updated. The applicable version is the one shared with you at the time of participation confirmation. If changes occur during your stay, we will notify you in advance.
