Safety Information
This page provides general safety information for Tam Farm participants. However, specific details — local emergency contacts, nearest medical facilities, evacuation instructions — are confirmed per location after a thorough on-site assessment.
Tam Farm is not a medical facility and does not provide professional healthcare services. Participants are responsible for their own health, safety, and decisions throughout their stay.
1. General emergency contacts
Standard emergency numbers in Vietnam:
- 115 — Medical emergency
- 114 — Fire department
- 113 — Police
- 1080 — Free information hotline (helps look up agency phone numbers)
Location-specific emergency contacts for the operator and founder are provided to you at check-in.
2. First aid
Each location has a basic first aid kit (bandages, antiseptic, adhesive tape, common pain relievers). The operator can provide initial first aid for minor injuries. However, we are not medical professionals and do not replace specialized medical care. Any serious injury or health condition must be taken to a proper medical facility.
3. Nearby medical facilities
The Da Lat and Lam Dong area has a network of medical facilities including commune health stations, multi-specialty clinics, and district/provincial hospitals. The specific name, address, and distance of the nearest medical facility to each location is provided at check-in, after we have verified it on site.
We intentionally do not publish a fixed list on this page, as medical information needs to be verified over time and by actual location, to avoid relying on unverified information.
4. Personal responsibility
Participation in Tam Farm is voluntary. Throughout your stay, you are responsible for:
- your personal health condition and any underlying medical conditions;
- bringing necessary medications and personal medical documents;
- assessing your ability to participate in garden activities appropriate to your physical condition;
- personal safety when moving, working, and living at the location;
- notifying the operator of any health or safety issues that arise.
5. Insurance recommendation
We strongly recommend that you have health or travel insurance valid throughout your stay, covering emergency care, hospitalization, and medical evacuation if needed. Keep your insurance provider's contact information and policy number available when you check in.
Tam Farm does not cover medical expenses for participants and does not hold insurance on your behalf.
6. Risk acknowledgment
By participating, you acknowledge that you understand:
- this is a suburban living environment with characteristics different from the city (weather, insects, distance, infrastructure);
- garden activities involve light labor and carry small risks (scratches, minor injuries);
- we are not a medical facility and do not provide professional healthcare services;
- you participate voluntarily and are responsible for your own decisions and experience.
7. Location-specific safety details
Each Tam Farm location has different actual conditions. Before confirming participation, we complete an on-site assessment and provide you with:
- emergency contacts for the operator and founder;
- verified address and distance to the nearest medical facility;
- evacuation instructions and location of fire safety equipment;
- location-specific risks (terrain, seasonal weather, animals);
- food safety and water source conditions.
If a location has not completed the on-site assessment, we do not accept participants there.
8. Emergency during your stay
If an emergency occurs, please:
- call the appropriate emergency number (115/114/113);
- notify the location operator immediately;
- contact your insurance provider;
- follow instructions from authorities and medical personnel.
Send a WhatsApp message to discuss. We will provide specific safety information for the location you are interested in after the on-site assessment is complete.
